Getting your mattress fully deflated is the key to packing up your Skycamp 4.0. Here are our five simple steps to get your RTT Comfort LT mattress ready to roll.

What You'll Need

  • Your Airdown or Airdown Go pump

  • About 5 minutes

  • (Optional) Bedding or pillows you're storing inside the tent

Step 1: Deflate with the Airdown or Airdown Go

Connect your Airdown or Airdown Go and let it run through a full cycle to pull the air out. This does most of the work for you and gets the mattress nice and flat in no time.

Step 2: Give the Foam a Little Love

While the pump's running (or right after), glide your hands across the mattress, pressing down as you go. Because the new Comfort LT has denser, comfier foam, more air gets trapped within the foam itself. Manually pressing out this extra bit of air will help release any extra air, leaving you with a flatter, more compact mattress.

Step 3: Fold at the Midpoint, Toward the Back

Fold the mattress toward yourself at the midpoint, then tuck that fold toward the back of the tent. Easy, and it opens up room right where you need it.

Step 4: Tuck Bedding in the Back Left

Bringing pillows or a sleeping bag along for the ride? Tuck them into the back left of the tent. There's a handy gap there since the extension panel doesn't reach all the way to the back wall, making it the perfect little storage spot.

Step 5: Close It Up

That's it, close your tent as you normally would, and you're set for the road.

Quick Recap

  1. Deflate with the Airdown or Airdown Go.

  2. Smooth the foam by hand for a flatter fold.

  3. Fold at the midpoint, tucked toward the back.

  4. Stash bedding in the back left.

  5. Close the tent and go.
