Yes, it’s designed to fit both the R1T and R1S using Rivian’s stock cross bars.

The tent includes our 3.0 Mounting Brackets, which makes installation a breeze. They work seamlessly with the Rivian crossbars, but also support other mounting options.

iKamper roof top tents are designed for easy installation. Using just one Allen wrench, you can mount or unmount your tent anytime. The initial setup takes less than 30 minutes, but once you’re familiar with the process, it can be done in under 10 minutes. For safe handling, we recommend having 2-3 people when lifting the tent on or off your vehicle.

The tent was designed to open to the passenger side of the vehicle (bump towards the back of the vehicle). This allows our protective wind/water shield to prevent water intrusion when driving through inclement weather. When mounting below the cab on the R1T, this isn’t as essential, but mounting the opposite direction (bump towards the front of the vehicle) will interfere with the visibility of the third brake light above the bed.

When mounted below the roof height on the R1T, the impact on range is minimal due to better aerodynamics. However, when mounted on the roof of the R1S or R1T, where it sits higher and affects airflow more significantly, you can expect a greater range impact depending on driving speed and conditions.

The Rivian x iKamper Skycamp Mini maintains the same design and construction as the Skycamp 3.0, but features a Rivian-specific aesthetic, including blacked-out components and exclusive color options. Additionally, it comes equipped with our upgraded RTT Comfort self-inflating air mattress for enhanced comfort.

Yes, but it depends on the size and materials of your bedding. The larger end of the shell provides the most storage space. We recommend doing a test run before hitting the road to ensure everything fits comfortably without putting strain on the closure. For better packability, we suggest using down or compressible synthetic bedding, as these materials pack down smaller and take up less space inside the tent.

Unfortunately, we can not recommend mounting anything to the top of our Skycamp series hard-shell tents due to the design and build of the fiberglass hard-shell. Doing so would void the warranty for the tent as well as potentially compromise the structural/functional integrity of the unit.

They hold about 900 lbs (408 kg), and the ladder can hold 330 lbs (150 kg). The weight limit of the Rivian Crossbars is 250 lbs of gear while driving (Dynamic Weight Load) or 600 lbs while parked (Static Weight Load).

The hard shell of the Skycamp is made of FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) and has TWO layers for extra insulation and strength. The hard shell that protects your Skycamp on the road is made of fiber-reinforced plastic and has a double layer with built-in air insulation, making it soundproof and condensation resistant. Most rooftop tents have a single-layer shell.

Unlike the Skycamp 3.0, the latches on the Rivian x iKamper Skycamp do not lock. However, the tent includes locking brackets that are compatible with Rivian’s Adventure Key Set (sold separately), ensuring your tent remains securely mounted to your crossbars.

Yes, there is a ladder foot cover provided with each tent. This will ensure protection of the vinyl layer on the rainfly from coming in contact with the rubber ladder feet. Not doing so can result in a damaged or discolored rainfly.

The Skycamp’s hardshell is made from lightweight, durable Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP).

The Rivian x iKamper Skycamp’s Rocky Black finish, resembling a rugged truck bed liner, is low-maintenance and resists scratches and stains. Simply rinse off dirt, wash with car soap, scrub with a soft-bristle brush, and rinse again. No additional treatments are usually required to maintain its tough, textured surface.

Please avoid letting snow or ice accumulate for long periods, as mineral deposits can cause staining. More detailed instructions can be found in your owner's manual.

iKamper roof top tents are shipped via freight, and we charge a flat fee of $199 to most locations in the contiguous US and $800 to Alaska (Fairbanks and Anchorage only), Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. Extra shipping costs may apply to locations requiring special delivery options. Please note that accessory-only shipments have their own rates based on weight.

Delivery of a roof top tent generally takes one to two weeks (including handling), depending on your proximity to the warehouse from which it is shipped. Unfortunately, we're unable to offer expedited shipping options. Most accessories are delivered within a week.

You can pick up at our Seattle area warehouse. Just choose 'Pick up' as your Delivery Method when you checkout. We are happy to schedule a time with our warehouse to greet you to pick up your tent.

Absolutely, we're here to assist with installations at our Seattle Showroom. Basic installations are available by appointment for vehicles equipped with standard crossbars, bed bars, or platforms. The cost is $100/hr for installation. Most installs take around an hour to complete.
