BDV Duo Assembled
It arrived at my house in a very nice shipped, very sturdy and secure. No damage found. Setting it up on my roof top wasnt too bad as it wasnt too heave for 3 people to lift up that high. sleeping in it is nice, i live in the PNW and used it for the first time at the end of march. We got rained on and it was cold up there but the tent did good keeping us dry and is warmer than my last tent. also in the morning it was super easy to take down i love it. only recommendation i have is i with it came with 2 more latches, one on each of the sides that dont have latches so that it completely closes. it appears to not close all the way on the sides.

BDV Duo Unassembled
The unassembled tent came with pieces missing and parts of the frame not being drilled out for the long bolts. The QC was not where it should be for a tent of this price. I've bought multiple rooftop tents and this one missed the mark on the value by a considerable margin.

BDV Duo Assembled
There are multiple misdrilled holes so the tent can’t be assembled. I appreciate the paper instructions and the hardware seems quality, but that doesn’t mean much if I can’t put it together. I’m not taking a Dremel to a brand new tent so I guess I’m stuck waiting on replacement parts.

BDV Duo Assembled
The BDV duo is a good tent, unfortunately not 5 star worthy.
Here are some key points to consider before buying the tent:
1-Latches to lock down the tent are flimsy and I've had bad experience with them constantly popping open every time I hit a pot hole or started venturing off-road. my solution to this was adding 2 extra locking billet latches.
2-The tent matters for me was not up to my standard, I replaced mines with the HEST mattress which is a total of 4 inches in thickness compared to the one it came with big improvement in comfort.
3- having swapped out my mattress my tent will not close with bedding inside.
Again overall the tent is not bad in terms of build quality, but these slight improvements will make a big difference, yet again everybody has a different approach and style to overlanding/camping and that just might be my preference and opinion.
addressing these slight issues would be a 5 star from me but the product as is would be rated a 3.
