I added an ExoShell Awning to my truck along side my RTT for a recent beach trip and it worked amazing! Deploying it was super easy. One of the days was slightly windy and I was relieved that the legs still reach the ground with it mounted on my lifted Ram 1500. Even without the legs, it did seem to hold up pretty good in the wind but I still used the legs just to be safe.

-1 star only because the parts are machined with very sharp edges. During installation, one of the mounting pieces sliced my hand open. And again during my trip, I bumped my head on the corner of the awning and it sliced a gash in my head. I don't understand why they ship so sharp instead of milling down the corners just ever so slightly, which would have been the difference between a bump and a gash/blood on my head for the remainder of the trip.

Beautiful and clean design. Took some getting used to when putting away but we got it down after a few tries. It’s a monster compared to our original 6 ft awning. Install took several attempts to get the spacing and offset right on the 4Runner with the Skycamp Mini installed. Only gripe we would have liked to see is a keyed option and keyed alike to be able to use one key to open both products if you had them. The security feature of the keys is a nice touch. Also, with its bulk, a third latch in the center would keep from the slight bulge in the aluminum if you have something’s bunched up putting away in a pinch. Overall stellar quality and love the hard shell case. Doesn’t nearly look as bulbous as other 270 awnings with the soft shell bags they come in.

Well built, sturdy and pure awesomness. Love the EXO Shell and how it is built. Only quam I have is the use of a hexbolt as supposed to a T-slot screw/bolt. I think that part needs to be looked at and redeigned for I prefer the M10 t-bolts. Non of the M10 T-bolts won't fit the slot but overall, solid product and it looks really good. I see people gawking at it when I drive pass by on the road or on the freeway.

Used my exoshell awning for the first time during my Moab trip. This awning provided amazing coverage from the sun. It’s such a breeze to open up and put away! It also took a beating to some rock walls on Elephant hill trail. The hard shell held up great!
