Sleep System Guide

Waking up in an iKamper roof top tent just got better. Our packable sleeping bags, self-inflating air mattresses, and camp blankets are designed to make your vehicle-based adventures as comfortable as possible. Whether you run hot or cold, prefer down or synthetic, like to share or keep the covers to yourself, there’s something here with your name on it. Add and subtract components, layer them together, and make your own Sleep System.

Sleep Systems Overview

Mattresses

After a long day outdoors, we want to recharge and be ready to do it all again the next morning. We developed the RTT Comfort to be more than just a perfect fit for our tents. These mattresses utilize a combination of air and open-cell memory foam to offer 4” of supportive loft.

When it’s time to pack down, they deflate to 1” thickness, making room for down bedding and pillows to be stored inside your roof top tent. They also feature an anti-condensation layer, brushed microfiber surface, and a 7.6 R-value, giving your bed at home a run for its money.

Why Upgrade to Air?

An In-Depth Look at the RTT Comfort

What’s R Value?

R-value is the measure of thermal resistance, and indicates how effective a material is at insulating against the cold. The higher the R-value, the more effective the material is at preventing heat loss. Every little bit helps in colder climes.

Sleeping Bags

Vehicle-based adventures have earned an upgrade. We designed our sleeping bags with car campers, overlanders, and van lifers in mind. Elevated off the ground in a vehicle or roof top tent, less bedding is needed to insulate against the floor. To keep things comfortable and improve heat regulation we use an asymmetrical fill ratio. A 60/40 split favoring the top half of the sleeping bag allows heat to concentrate where it’s most needed.

iKamper RTT Sleeper Overview

Ethical, sustainable materials are non-negotiable for us. They reduce the environmental impact of production, allowing us to rest easy that we’re putting our “Love People, Love Nature” philosophy into action. Our sleeping bags are made with RDS-certified down and feathers, and recycled, synthetic fibers for a down alternative.

100% RDS
Down & Feathers

Why choose down? It offers the best warmth to weight ratio, packs down to nothing, and will last for more adventures that you can shake a stick at.

The Responsible Down Standard is an independent, global certification that ensures ethical sourcing of down and feathers, free of animal cruelty.

100% Recycled Synthetic,
PrimaLoft® Bio

Why choose synthetic? It’s hypoallergenic, insulates well even when wet, and is more affordable.

PrimaLoft® Bio is the first synthetic and performance fill made from 100% recycled biodegradable fibers. A sustainable alternative to traditional down without compromising comfort.
